hi all, any body on this site using these type of dogs,and how do they fair day and night,i believe they are bullx whippets.and that jason powell bred some real good ones.dont know if he still does,comments and a few pics would be gladly appreciated.

ive a bitch here whippet x bullgry,wheatengrey 21tt 12months old she's seen a little bit of stuff on the lamp now showing plenty of promise just wish she was a couple of inches taller and 10lb heavier

aye.. i thought the same about my bitch hight wise but for me shes starting to do just what i want...making a good mooching dog,and am sure the lamp be the same..not every one is after the same game as me though..

With all due respect to anyone who owns one, I just never seen the point in 'em, when you could up the size and get a better job done!

Think maybe some prefer more of a even match rarther than a landslide?

 

:laugh: Even match.... Get a grip, so why not down size coursing dogs to terrier size.... :laugh:

 

No, seriously, if you want to see 'even matches', get out of running dogs and look to game dogs. I'm a hunter and want the end result over as fast and humanly as can be, with the best tools I can get...!

So you want a dog that will only match its quarry, not better it ? Strange, to say the least. I'd want the quarry dispatched as quickly and efficiently as possible.

What a strange thing to say. Can't see the logic behind that at all.

 

That's like saying shooters should swap their guns for throwing bricks to give the quarry better chance.
