I was visiting my dad in Brittany a couple of weeks ago & he was surrounded by them, he routinely used his hand to check if they were on......a 74 old with a pace maker!!.....& he thought I was the soft cnut for telling him off :-)

I got had by one a while back and it felt as strong as any mains shocks I've had before. I had a chat with the owners and they said they'd turned it up a bit!

mains or battery, they still give out the same voltage, which might b3 from 2000 to 10000V depending on several factors. you can check if a hotwire is switched on by touching with a bit of grass, just enough current will get through for you to feel a little buzz from the grass, but not enough to hurt.

oh, and don't come out of your caravan for a piss and forget that there is a hotwire outside and piss on it..................:shok:
