oneredtrim 148
well why the feck didnt city wear the same hardly a secret is it red and thats to totally different sports and different conditions one extreme to the other city could have helped combat the cold like the russians but what could mcguigan do in that heat maybe not one extreme to another...an extreme stretched enough to give a native the advantage.....Barry could have pencilled in a return in the kings hall or simply got out there a great deal earlier. Had a few pro boxers flake at just over -7 trying to run back and forth over saddleworth moor...strange situation with someone flaked on the floor bleating like a gud en when you've no fone reception and it's the first time they've realised what a wind will do to a body when coupled with cold...to a man they did'nt want to play out the next day or the day after or the day after that, in fact f**k it they were staying with what they knew (round the park). WILF 47,353
Sorry ORT but your grasp of competitive football is at best limited, amature or professional side, there is no excuse for throwing away a 2 goal lead......none at all. They were warm enough to go 2 goals up but cold enough loose their control on the game ?........come off it matey. As has been said, to come out with the "too cold" excuse is embarrassing........they would have more respect if they told the truth and said "we lost concentration, took our foot off the pedal and paid the price" Because that is the truth no matter what standard you play at.......unless CSKA are a better team and made mistakes early? Yeah....i do know all that Wilf...i was simply taking this opportunity to expand with many folks on the internet who wax-on about thier non cardio activity being somehow akin to 90mins of professional football in - temps That said i maybe not that far off the mark because they were indeed warm enough to go two goals up.. with an interlude between conceeding two, my understanding of football is versed enough to know that interlude is a very important detail....it was the reason Alison introduced no sitting down at half time and everybody playing head tennis whilst he team talked. i'm not positive Pelle actually used the wording too cold...thought he said the players were not at the right temperature..which you'll obviouslly know could easilly imply some other meaning especially post an half time sit down. WILF 47,353
With all due respect mate, that don't wash and certainly with a team of City's value with some of the top players in the world.....the back room staff will be the best money can buy and if THEY can't keep athletes right for even 15 minutes then something is very wrong indeed......in fact I don't buy that at all, never gonna happen. oneredtrim 148
Well it's an opinion Wilf...the fact that Moscows goals came post the sit down and Citys pre the sit down aint. Massive value clubs with top world stars sometimes simply dont show up at all, sometimes even if on a big unbeaten run (straight back on it again), some will even do the half time trick...it's not unique to City, though also not easy to explain..though it's seldom happens at an home ground meet...travel seems to be the only common denominator. Elano when once asked about the acclimatisation to ukrain football said it took him nearly 2 years, perhaps a ruskee into the premier maybe not so stretched-out and perhaps the premier clubs seriouslly scouring the argentine transfer market (more goat like to lower temps) and being intrested in Brazilians with experience in european football leagues...explains the phenom some Edited October 22, 2014 by oneredtrim

JMHO Yo Wilfy...just remembered...about big mobs getting it wrong sometimes...I remember Fergie not being over the moon with his staff informing him his new british transfer record goalkeeper will be missing for at least 3 weeks cause he needs lazer eye surgery....that was after the 18 mills was paid and he'd completed a medical...who'd have funkt it?..not fergie.
