Now call me old fashioned but isn't it a doctors job to diagnose your illness ??? So a doctor that couldn't diagnose dementia last week will now be able to because he is paid £55 for every one he diagnoses ... In general it is a bit of an anomaly that GP practices are private companies owned by the GPs who then do work for the NHS. She sold her house and everything ,moved into a home,the lot, then family made her get a second opinion which said there was sod all wrong with her.That was before any payment was changing hands. Nothing major but failing that and your put down. Would save millions not just in not having to spend out on health problems but forcing people to take better care of themselves in order to make sure they stand good chance of passing.
