IanB 0
If it was legal, The owner and the dogs involved want bullet's putting in them. There's no need for idiots with dangerous out of control dogs. It could of been children walking a dog that got attacked, never mind adults, which is bad enough. Accip74 7,112
Just a question for all those in the 'it's not the dogs, it's the owners' camp.......do you think these types of dogs are incapable of unpredictable attack with responsible owners? The problem here is the dicckhead with one arm breeding shhit and the authorities for not raking action when the fucktard had his arm ripped off Would argue though that no dog can be trusted 100% and should it kick off they can't stop 7 big dogs. Just a question for all those in the 'it's not the dogs, it's the owners' camp.......do you think these types of dogs are incapable of unpredictable attack with responsible owners? First dog I ever had was an American bulldog, was the family dog but ended up me out with it every day. Never had any problems to be honest was great with other dogs and fine with people. Would watch you when you first come in the house and people would feel intimidated because his size. Never had to put the dog in a different room or any of that bullshit because he might snap. I got some old photos on the iMac of him having my cousin climb all over him. Wasnt ever left alone but probably more to protect him from my cousin than other way round lol. Saddly though he ended up with hip displasia and was put down. Of course some breeds do more damage so things seem worse. Have seen plenty of idiots mainly women laughing when their handbag dog growls. Was a woman with a little rat in her arms when I went shop with my mum. My mum went to stroke it after asking the woman if it was ok. Bloody thing growled and snapped only for the woman to laugh. I bite my tongue though n said f**k all as I was with my mum n couldn't be arsed to start preaching.
Accip74 7,112
Hence my point accid about breeding unstable shiit Yeh I get that probably is key to these dogs, but I think some could have the absolute best intentions & it still goes wrong, trouble is, with these dogs, it goes wrong on a monumental scale..... I really don't think they are suitable for % of the owners, but that argument can go on & on.....

I've been round a few & they've been fine mate.......it was a genuine question though, in fact generally for all types of dog, there seems to be that suggestion, that only dogs with shite owners can snap & I don't think that's always the case.... Before I left England, a mate had a Rhodesian Ridgeback pts......the dog had got out of the garden & bit 2 neighbours, now this guy had always kept this type, I would call him a decent responsible dog owner, he was surprised by the dog, but acted accordingly.......incidents can happen to the best of us, though I accept it's mostly idiots involved in the more serious incidents....
Ggib 370
At the end of the day the dogs are natural predators, so any one could go at any time, but with a smaller dog it's easier to get off, where a big mastiff type could do more a damage quickly Edited October 22, 2014 by Ggib
dare 1,103
American bulldog sort of set the bar for me to be honest. Some people make excuses or for some strange reason put up with shit. I won't make excuses or stand for a human aggressive dog it'll be culled. Trouble is its not the repsonsible owners dogs who are the problem, we just have to get the stereotype due to the idiots. Know someone who had their pitbull playing with a woman's dog and she told him "you can tell its a staff because it wants to play not like those pitbulls they got a taste for blood" lol. Suppose that's a good question, are some dogs born bad?
bracken boy 584
yes in my view some can be born with a attitude and if not the brains of knowing the breed plus allround dog handling then yes big dogs can be a dangerous weapon, i walk a mastiff x american bulldog everyday who is trustworthy and gentle but hes never offlead and in this day as it is never put in any situation that i think may cause problems,
