dare 1,103
f**k me if I'd only get five years would be 1 or 2 people being seen too lol. Jokes aside it seems bullshit too me that anyone would get such little time for killing someone. As for the money comments do you mean he just got the best defence money can buy or actually reckon people got paid?

They do not use a jury in South Africa they use a judge, I'm sure there are plenty of backhanders that take place over there. If I was her family I'd make sure true justice was served. dare 1,103
Gotta be abit risky aint it approaching a judge with an offer like that? Not taken and I'm guessing it'll be a pissed of judge who'll give you even more bird. Everyone reckon she was paid off then?

God knows, it would be interesting to read up on other sentences that have been served with the same crime to see if it is unusually short.
Mickey Finn 3,016
http://www.justice.gov.za/legislation/notices/2011/20110923_gg34636_pnr56-judge-salaries.pdf According to my calculations she made 174,702.33 British pounds a year. In 2011 Not counting car, health insurance, and pension. This of course doesn't rule out greed. But given her history, and resume. I doubt she took a bribe. But I'm at a loss to understand this sentence of five years. ATB
peterhunter86 8,627
Id say there was a few favours and money and words in the right ears been passed around to get him that light sentence
Rake aboot 4,936
Not that light for culpable homicide. Remember, the final decision was that he did not mean to kill her, hence he can`t be punished for murder, cause he didn't murder her.
The Seeker 3,048
Yes I thought he was guilty of the equivalent of manslaughter not murder, even here people can walk with a suspended sentence or just serve a few months for some manslaughter cases depending on the situation

Remember, the final decision was that he did not mean to kill her, hence he can`t be punished for murder, cause he didn't murder her. Only a man with a pigs head really believes that he did not intend to kill her, the story is that far fetched it's beyond comical. 100% he would have been done for murder over here with a Jury. If it was your daughter would you let it lie? I know for a fact if it was my daughter he would be soon joining her.
Accip74 7,112
As was already pointed out on here....he is the second most famous South African, anyone who doesn't believe he has been treated differently from the average joe, is severely nieve, same goes for people that believe he killed without intent.....WAKE UP!!!!
Rake aboot 4,936
We are talking about the sentence. It fits with the verdict, whether you agree with the verdict is a different thing altogether
