In truth if you don't know or have experience with what you are dealing with, ie a simple examination will tell if there is any major damage, then you need to see someone who can carry out such an examination. If you don't have any more experienced friends etc then it will have to be the vet. At 4 months old you need to be sure that you get a proper examination! Bear in mind you have posted on the internet that a pup is injured “leg is swollen badly” and you don’t know what damage is done or what to do.

You can get Arnica rubs that contains real Arnica but it would take time to find and get it and if it says 6c or anything like that on the tube or is suggested to be taken orally, ie a pill it is homeopathic so hasn't got any arnica in it lol, it’s a waste of money. Real anti inflammatory meds like metacam will be a better option. No Pills will contain any Arnica as Arnica is harmful if taken orally and would be classed as a poison!

Let me explain the c stands for centesimal scale which means that a 2c is dilated 100 times then a portion of the diluted solution is then diluted 100 times again, which gives a final dilution of one in 10,000! So a 6c dilution repeats this another 6 times giving one in a trillion (1 in 1,000,000,000,000. If someone took an aspirin and diluted it to that degree, be like throwing it in the Atlantic and offering you a glass of the ocean lol, would you feel it would help your pain????

Placebo has its place in human health but not in animal health if pain and inflammation is the problem I’m sure thet socks and skycat didn’t realise that the 6c mentioned was homeopathic or they would not have suggested it in this case.

Immaterial what it is I can guarantee it works .... I have used it several times on the dogs and it has brought down the swelling and bruising quickly every time ... The problem with metacam is that it has a painkiller in it as well as the anti inflammatory so the dog thinks its ok and starts to run around thus making the swelling worse ........

WHAT DILUTING AN APRIN IN THE ATLANTIC THEN TAKING A GALSS OF SAID OCEAN WORKS!!!!!! NO IT DOESN'T AND SUGGESTING A PLACEBO FOR PAIN IN A 4 MONTH OLD PUP IS DANGEROUS!

You should know better!

Read the links! or do you really believe you know better than physics. When you say " I have used it several times and it has brought down the swelling and bruising" that had nothing to do with the homeopathic shite, that was just incidental. When you get a cold it will get better if you wear a red hat, because you get better naturally not because of the hat. But a pup in pain maybe injured is not a common cold. "Nullius in verba ( take no ones word for it )The Royal Society chose this as its motto as “Science is the practise of learning not to fool yourself, and realising that you are the easiest person to fool.”

Sometimes I despair.

I don't doubt you are good with dogs. But anything homeopathic is utter pish.

it is the idea that water has a memory; that what ever it has come into contact with.

if you sprained your ankle I would expect it to come down wothin 36hrs!

Don't buy this stuff purely to stop financial support for it. At best they offer false hope to people with serious illnesses, at worst people shun genuine treatment in favour of a lie.

FFS I am not using the stuff because so and so said it must work I use it because I have seen it work countless times on my own dogs .... Ad just because two people in links put up say it doesn't work doesn't mean its fact ... I bet I could google hundreds that can prove it does work .......

No you couldn't stop talking pish man and put your hands up!

the best you could do would be come up with quack sites etc, don't start " using science as a drunk uses a lamppost – for support rather than illumination."

If you really can disprove Avogadro's constant

in relation to homeopathy etcetera then you owe it to the world to help scientists understand it. It would be a grand human achievement, Nobel prize-worthy.

Or you could put your hands up and admit it got better when you gave the homeopathy and, as is normal with human nature, you gave credit to the homeopathy when the credit was really due to the healing powers of the dog. After all what is more believable, a dog got better after millions of years of evolution to do so, or it got better because it was given a dilution of a substance to the degree that none of the original substance remains?? I'm sure you don’t really need the science to make a common sense answer…..life is a learning process

Obviously the medical world is talking pish also then ... 2 second google search and a dosage instruction for the pills ... I am not going to get into a name calling argument with you nor am I going to lower myself to match your condescending tone ... Just because you work in the medical industry it doesn't mean you know everything there is to know about all medicines ... We all know you hate homeopathic medicines ( just look at your attacks on Sirius ) so,its pointless continuing this with you as I can't be arsed to google links back and fore all day ... You do what you think is best and offer your advise accordingly and I will do the same .........
