After the good summer I was thinking might take a bit longer for the real hunting to get started ? I was away for a few weeks so not up to speed on whats happening was out a couple of times in the last week lots of cover and game seemed to be shit anyone else find the same?

Was out lamping the other night and there was still little balls of fluff baby rabbits around

Had a few rabbits yesterday get through 2 inch nets , only did one set the wind was to strong kept blowing the nets off, we got 6 put all the gear away and had a walk instead blade cought 2 more so not all too bad

Went out yesterday first.proper hunt of the season the ground. Still bit hard in places plenty of bigears were we went yesterday the amount. Of cattle out done my head in the ones with calves were charging at us and my mate got chased by a bull just made it to a ditch so can't wait for cold and rain then farmers will bring them in and we get bit of peace and quiet atvb

they don't switch the fences off down around here at all but the livestock are dangerous

Deffo a late start this year,, cover and cattle and young quarry about still.
