Joe1888 672
leader of scottish labour has stepped down, commented on how labour down south use the "branch" north of the border.. gordon brown is favorite to replace her...... labour are finished up here now, after gordon browns part in the vow, him leading up here, would be the icing on the cake for snp/greens Edited October 25, 2014 by Joe1888

dare 1,103
While I understand ukips poster I sort of dont like it. Was politics that allowed it to happen though so guess it makes sense and to get a reaction was its aim.
Chr15j 59
Aside from anything immigration related does ukip have any policies for running the uk if they got into power? And don't even try telling me curing the immigration will fix everything else because that is utter bollicks! So, what are their plans re nhs? What will they do about the multi-generation spongers? What is their defence policy? What will they do about impending housing market crisis, people mortgaged to hilts on interest rates that will only go up? What is their policy on taxation? What will they do with the human rights act? If anyone couldn't run a bath it's ukip! To those suggesting we give them a go.. They are untested in politics, it's like letting a teenager who just passed test out in an Ferrari, would you let them have a go just because they've never had a crash (because they've never driven) Our economy is strong at the moment, thanks to Tories labour will only ever f**k it up and lib dens are not realistic either. A con/ukip coalition would be interesting provided cons kept ukip in line!

I don't know how long you have been able to vote matey, but what we have now is f**k all like the Conservative party !!!..........this lot couldn't be more New Labour if they tried !! As for the economy being strong, anyone with half a brain cell can see it's a 3 card trick......if the economy is so strong then where is the money on the ground in people's pockets??.......it's not there, they have got every c**t working for the taxman.......just like all the other socialists would have you doing !! Country Joe 1,411
Ukip are saying all the right things, down South want to hear, but could they run the Country? They wont get anywhere in Scotland the SNP is too strong. I cant understand Labour, with another leader, they would storm in, they must see that the public just don't like Milliband . We have an excellent party up here in the SNP, and they are doing a good job, and with Nicola Sturgeon at the helm Its onwards and upwards. Down South, im afraid you will have either Milliband or Cameron.

A con/ukip coalition would be interesting provided cons kept ukip in line! I think you are missing the point that a huge number of people in the country are sick to the back teeth of the two main parties, and the elite that run them. I agree with you that UKIP are an untested force but what is the alternative if you want a halt to immigration and out of the EU? It's like being told you're dying and you're only hope is an experimental drug. Would you take it? As far as I can see if something isn't done in the next few years it will be too late so that's why I'll be voting UKIP. My ideal scenario would be that the Conservatives become conservative again but I'm not holding my breath on that one.

A con/ukip coalition would be interesting provided cons kept ukip in line! Its amazing how many people ask this but what is the alternative......more of the same from lab/cons? Untested in goverment?.........ok so your saying we can only ever choose lab/cons? UKIP will never sweep to power over night and be a ready made goverment who get all right but they are the only option to the staus quo which has screwed us for so long. Do you think the conservatives would be offering a referendum if ukip were not on the scene? UKIP will release a manifesto along with the others before the GE and all the above questions will be covered......but dont expect the media to allow them to discuss them in the public sphere. UKIP could help wipe out the liberals, put pressure on the cons/lab to discuss things they dont want to be forced to discuss. Even though ukip dont have a clear policy on hunting at the moment (they dont need to just yet) they are pro freedom and against interferance in peoples lives....that brilliant. The leader is also totally 100% pro hunting. They are the only party that supports the uk countryside, against mass house building on green belt/ against hs2 and against mass immigration. If you love the countryside join ukip...vote ukip and help change politics for ever!
