Mine did the same recently blowing the element (completely burnt out with a bang). Ordered new element off the bay and no joy. So went online and got some great advice from this chap (Paul):

http://how-2-repair.com/

He advised on quick checks over the phone (he called me!) and then advised on ways to bypass certain relays to bypass parts not needed.

All he wanted in return was to subscribe to his youtube channel, very helpful chap.

I eventually needed to also replace a 'thermal cut-out' switch that went due to the element blowing so check for this on yours. Parts can be obtained from Paul or if he hasn't got it try these guys (got my thermal switch from them):

Saved me heaps in bills or tradesmen or a new oven.

Also recommend disconnecting from the mains and being methodical with a voltmeter to check for continuity, when you strip the back off these things you soon realise how simple they are.

Hope you get it sorted soon as its game pie season!!!
