Rabbit Hunter 6,613
That video was absolutely spot on for an outsider to see our work done in the most humane way possible, if the general public seen videos like that then we'd have a much bigger support than we have at the minute. It want's adding to facebook and sharing with as many as possible IMO. 2 Quote Link to post

pablo esc 1,598
Don't know if I've ever seen a. Fox bolt coming out backwards or maybe iam mistaken? Good bit a foot work though, not a bad shot. Put a pair of curtains up next time, and maybe a mantel piece 1 Quote Link to post
Born Hunter 17,751
Pablo Esc, I've seen foxes rear out of drains etc. If they're seeing off a steady terrier they will just gradually rear out in my experience. I've pulled foxes out by hand in that situation, I'm sure many folks have. 5 Quote Link to post
Born Hunter 17,751
Ratbuster, pistols are legal in the UK for humane dispatch. Police attitudes towards them differ hugely from force to force. For instance some make it a nightmare to get a simple 410 or 22 single shot pistol while others will grant military and law enforcement type pistols. Even the topic of humane dispatch is not consistent, some forces will not allow rifles to be used but will allow pistols whereas others would prefer rifles to be used. It's a good example of how regionally dependant our firearms laws are. 1 Quote Link to post

I remember when i was about 16 and the was a pipe that run about 200 yards in a middle of a golf fair way, pond to pond and my dog had gone in, i waswwith my friend, i ran to the othereend. And next the tail end of the fox backed out, i slid down, grabbed it and like a divey, scardy, half heartily let go and the dog took him back, very hard dog. Firemen dug him out 6 hours or so later.. Bought them all a pint of beer after Quote Link to post
