tony h 14
my springer does it every season, dont rub her belly as youll stimulate the nipples, but she should be fine, if it carries on and she fills with milk, you can get something from the vets Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
This has just happened to my bitch after her first season. I thought it was a phantom pregnancy but they were only swollen for 4-5 days and have gone back to normal. Her attitude changed back around the same time and she is back to her old self now. All the best with yours. Quote Link to post

Gaz_1989 9,539
Thanks a lot lads she's not producing milk, so she is okay to work then? Mine was a horrible cow. Didn't want to go for a walk around the block let alone work. But it didn't last long. Think they are all different. Quote Link to post
Dawn B 212
Completely normal. Quote Link to post
Phil Win 79
Personally, from passed experince, i would not work her till she is back to normal, then slowly get her fit again, takes about a month or so. She will also have fat around the heart ect, which could be detrimental to her health if ran hard. If you PM skycat on here, she will tell you exactly what happens and when she can be ran.
