A Mixed Bag

Well lads went out last night with Daz, Matt, Zandy was invited but could not make it so another night was arranged for him .

 

Now matts land is 350 acers and we got there just before dark so as matt had not been out for a few weeks he was raring to go so him and daz went to get some pigeons and to have a look for some pheasants as there now in season and we can shoot them .

 

And i went another way to look for the hairs walked the first field and nothing was around .now there big big fields and by the time i had walked the first one i was fecked as in the middle of the field it go,s up and then up some more a big hill and by the time you get to the top let me tell you your knackered so i sat down and had five to catch my breath .

 

i then went into the next field and saw a hair and it took off and then stopped this went on for three fields could not get with in range .im getting my fac you need a rim fire for them so you can take them out at a 100 yards in field three i lost site of it and saw four rabbits but they fecked off to as soon as they saw me so i went back to field no 2 .

 

but on the way and still in field no3 i court site of movement out of the corner of my eye and i spun round and there not more than 40 yards was the hair i had been after so i went prone and lined the shot up and sent a biss mag on its way it just rolled over now i lay there and waited to see if it would jump back up but it was finished.

 

i was well happy the bloody thing was like a bloody dog the size of it so i lay,d it down next to the scorpion and went to get my camera but i had left it in my bag and the bag was in matts car so i hung it off my belt and it nearly hit the ground it was that big the photo would have to wait till i got back to the car .

 

Back in field 3 i went down to the right side of it where i saw two or three rabbits but they took off to but i saw two more hairs so off i went again but the same again off they went and stopped and this once again went on and on to the point that i had to sit down when in looked back i had cover,d 4 fields it was then i saw Matt and Daz ,got out i say,d to them Daz had got a good rabbit and a pigeon and matt had got some pigeons and a pheasant.

 

We went back to the car for a bite to eat and a cuppa the day light was nearly gone and by the time we got back to the car it was pitch black funny how time fly,s it was only four fields but there big feckers .

 

It was dark when i took the photos lads but every thing was shot in day light and as for the hair the farmer wants them shot as the poachers are coursing to much damage HIS WORDS NOT MINE .

 

We went back out again but it was much the same but this time with the lamps the hairs were just off when you hit them with the beam and i had a good run around in the fields off them but i really enjoyed it any way a good day , night and a mixed bag.

I seem to do better when im on my own vm some times its good to be by your self and just chill out with nature and your rifle good luck for to night bud .

every one starts some where look at daz and matt both were rookies once and look how good they turned out top hunters and now with there own perms ill help any one get started if i can just to give them a foot in the door .

 

And i don't just let any one on my perms ,and if they turn up by them self's ill get a quick phone call and then there will be hell to pay as it is not just mine but vislauk,s to and we both hunt in different ways its good to learn off us both that way you get the best of both worlds.

 

its getting harder to get the game on the farm as when you lamp them up they feck off so now its a bit of a challenge and i like that i like it a lot .

My perm the rabbits are ok with white light. So that's good.they don't spook too easy either as there is a lot of dog walkers through there during the day.

 

I can't way to get out I've only been out the house once in 2 weeks so I'm getting cabin fever.
