darbo 4,776
Maybe phone rainford fieldsports to see if they know and can point you in the right direction. i have heard you can get them from the golden lion pub in rainford but not 100% on this maybe worth a phone call. Parabuteos lad 878
Some cnut let my tyres down in sidings lane, an old fella. I was fishing without a permit (only roach bashing) and he asked if it was my car and I said no then seen him skulking around by it and then he dissapeared and I couldn't find him when I went looking for him. Serves me right I suppose but there's no need for that. Quote Link to post

That doesn't surprise me down that neck of the woods i lived in upholland for 7 years have you ever fished the water at the bottom of ormskirk rd near the brick works ? Quote Link to post
sinbad2uk 0
No , it's full of nutters and kids throwing things in the water. Plus I've heard all the fish are stunted because of a parasite infection. Used to fish at the quarry at the brickworks before they filled it in. I'm looking for places that are quiet, small private ponds or clubs , away from the big commercials as they get a bit boring after a while. Seems like most are shut to Joe Public these days like the ponds in Ackhurst lane in Gathurst ,and the ponds along Pimbo lane in Upholland. Edited October 13, 2014 by sinbad2uk Quote Link to post

There is a small water called the delph at the back of henderson drive in rainford some good fish in there im told my mate lives very close to it. Have you heard of it?i dont know what other waters are on the permit i think one in crawford but could be wrong. i have seen some good catches of coarse fish out of the delph and some decent carp out of there. You can access the water through a gate on news lane. Have a look on google maps i never see a lot of people fishing there seems nice and quiet. Edited October 13, 2014 by darbo Quote Link to post
