My dog has had a cyst on the back of her neck for ages. We've had it tested and it's benign. The vet said they could remove it if we wanted, but it would only be for cosmetic reasons.

It's been getting bigger and bigger, so it was stretching the skin, so we booked her in to have it removed this morning.

Yesterday after her walk she was wet and my mrs dried her off with a towel and the cyst burst while she was doing it. Brown milkshake looking liquid was literally pouring out down her side. To cap it off, as she shook herself dry, it sprayed the fridge, the walls, my mrs and even 2 drops on the ceiling. :bad:

It was disgusting, but in a way that draws you to it. Spent most of the evening squeezing it, but there's still a lump there, so she's in the vets now.

I'm sitting here chewing my fingernails like an expectant father. :icon_redface:

pound to a penny says you sniffed your hands after getting the gunk on it

It didn't smell actually and I did have a double/treble sniff. :icon_redface:

How's the dog Walshie?

She's fine thanks for asking. I think she took it better than me. Quite why you need a 6" incision to get a 1" cyst out and need to shave about a 12" square is beyond me though.

Worst bit is the £300 hole in my bank account. :icon_eek:
