hi,

ive not had them models, but I have had the air arms s410 carbine and a bsa ultra se both in .177, both of these guns are very accurate, nice and light, and good in tight spaces, but for me I think the air arms are a better gun, they have a better build quality than the bsa's, the magazine on the air arms gun work a lot better than the bsa's ones, and I got a lot more shot count on my air arms than the bsa, although the air cylinder on the bsa is smaller,

so out of the two guns your thinking about getting I would go for the air arms.

go for the s510 mate I have one and it's proper accurate nice to shoot the magazine and side lever are a joy to use only down side is there's no anti double load feature like the hw100 , is very reliable not had any real issues with mine and don't worry about it not being regulated it doesn't need one and if your technically minded easy to work on yourself , I have never had a shot with the r10 so can't really comment on how it shoots , have shot a friends ultra se which I believe is the same action and mag but he has had issues with the mag , the air arms mag system I would say is much better , best to have a shoot with both and get what suits you best .

R10 all the way, I had an AA s400 before the R10 both are very good rifles and are very very accurate. You will get a better shot count outta the R10 but into he field which I'm assuming what it's for that won't matter as you won't be taking so many shots in one sitting. Well unless you have an unbelievable permission.(that's what we all wish)

They both hold value too, the R10 is a little bit heavier but you will get used to it.

But all this advice is no good if any of the rifles "don't fit" try the both of you can or at least shoulder them.

Any way, good luck in your choice and put some pictures up when you do decide.
