Good Start To Season

Started on the river bank today as seen a few on the lamp here, put the longnets around the first part and cut it up with short nets .using four last years gills and two younsters put the lot in nothing for about 15 mins, then four one after the other .got another five over half an hour then the ferrets started to show, five of them out no sign of number 6 so out with the nocker got a mark 7 fooking foot took over an hour to reach number 10 in the bag ready for a cuppa now. Slow but steady progress after dinner 3 more digs finaly got to the end of bank,36 in the bag over the moon with the ferrets only 1 missed bunny, 5 oclock now so dressed the bunnys and away home.

Sounds like you had a good session do you only use gills ? Or Hobbs as well

Gills most the time ive got a couple of dogs to try this season though, a lot of the warrens I work are big old deep things so I like to put up to six at a time in(six on sunday) , otherwise rabbit just give them the runaround.
