Phil Lloyd 10,738
Good at staying married,...40 years together yesterday.... Took her with me to rake down a 100 plus molehills,.then as a special treat, allowed her to steady the ladders, while I dusted two large Hornets nests,.. It was a wee bit hairy for five minutes,..but I was well suited up,..so at least one of us was reasonably safe... Rosy can still run though,....in fact,.it was, emotional... Don't anyone ever say, that I don't know how to treat a gal...

RemyBolt 420
Congratulations Phil. 40 years married! We're coming up to 2 years now. Thinking about the "I'm good at X" question, I asked my wife. She sighed and said "You're very good at being spontaneous" which made me smile. Then she completed the sentence "but it's bloody hard work dealing with you when you're like that! It's like dealing with a massive child. Like when you knocked out the fireplace with your kettle-bell because you wanted to see what was behind it, or when you went to Dartmoor in the snow because you thought it would be fun to drive on ice, or when you tried to play in the quicksand on our wedding anniversary, or when you thought snowboarding on the sand dunes at Woolacombe was a good idea, or when you [i stopped listening at this point]" Not quite the compliment I was hoping for. But I'm very good at spontaneousnessnessness. But is seems it's not always a good idea. Women always say they want a spontaneous man, but when they get it....oh they change their minds. They enjoy the random trip to Iceland (January 2015...wooo! Troll hunting!!!), but they don't like the random "Today I'm having terettes" or stuff like that. Women are so complicated!
