Buy a craft knife with the snap off blades if you want a proper sharp knife.. Wilko..99p I use one of them little bladetec sharpeners..it destroys a good blade,but works ok for a quick fix on a cheap knife. beast 1,884 Posted September 28, 2014 Report Share Posted September 28, 2014 like rio says, good steel will keep an edge better but is harder to bring back if you lose it, so dont let it get blunt - quick sharpen after every use will only take a minute or two. i tend to use a set of needle files these days, probably sacrilige to any professionals out there but i find them very easy to work with, especially for hoof knives and awkward stuff like that Quote Link to post Share on other sites
