bigmac 97kt 13,811
Well lads was out the other night and missed a few with the scorpion 177 that i no i would of hit if i had old faithful with me (raider) but then i thought later on what was i thinking i was using the scorpion as if it was 22 and not thinking 177 and i had treecreeper with me he must of thought i was a right pillock. But i did hit a nice one with a standing shot but we both could not find it in the long grass any way it bugged me so off i went to night again and this time i changed back to jsb,s i was using the bis mags but im a jsb fan and i set her up and off i went first one was about 30 yards THINK 177 and let one go spot on and down it went out cold not even a kick 1 in the bag the next one was in the bull field (the bull has been moved ) it was sitting about 50 yards away but it ran and stopped at the fence line and i just stood still for a few mins and let it settle down i then closed in on it to about 40 yards and went prone and lined the shot up THINK 177 I came off the cross hairs just a bit and let one go again and it just rolled over i was well happy . Iv just got to get the 22 out off my head but iv shot 22 since i was a kid and its hard some times to switch it on and off but the more i use the scorpion the better i will be with it . atvbmac 3 Quote Link to post

David.evans 5,323
Mac Once you get used to 177 , You may never go back to .22 I have shot .22 a long time ago , but found 177 suited me better And as you know hitting power don't matter if you hit the right spot ! The heavies are a great pellet in most guns and seem to work even better in BSA guns atb ,Mitch 1 Quote Link to post

Daz39 962
Nice one Mac, stick with the 177 mate....you know it makes sense. And you don't need the heavies, the 8-9gr pellets put a rabbit down just as well, JSB, H&N FTT, canny pellets in the 100. I've plenty if you want to test some out. Quote Link to post
