Good And Bad

Well had a successful days verminating today cant say i really enjoyed it though but did have some good news so here goes

Had a knock on the front door this morning just after getting home from work it was a farmer friends wive asking for me so i asked how can i help so she says you shoot at the farm dont you yes of course so she continues to say that the corvids are messing all over her garden and house and the rabbits are digging up dirt all over their fresh layed tarmac so could i sort a few out yes of course pleased as hell as ive never been able to shoot the farm yard or the garden just the fields knowing theirs a bit of shooting to be had around the house and sheds so i said id pop over later in the dau for a look about and come up with a plan

So a few hours after i turn up only packed light as wasnt a full hunting trip just a look about to see whats what for the assalut the following morning so just me the rifle and range finder im off first shot a nice big rabbit head shot 32 yrds nerves kicks him up under the shed foundations and cant retreive him bugger

Well off again next shot a nice corvid off the garden shed 27 yrds hits a bit low and requires a follow up shot so again not too happy onto the next a tiny younster of a rabbit sat just inside the front garden gate again 27 yrds from my position perfect head shot over it rolls now if this was out in the fields i wouldnt have pulled the trigger but as they have asked then it had to happen again wasnt happy but there we go so plan sorted and positions marked for the following mornings outing i head for the truck to go home happy that a bit more permission unlocked and a few vermin in the game bag but didnt enjoy the shooting atall as they wasnt shots i would have normally taken or they wernt the best shots but we all have better days so looking forward to the morning heres a few pics another plus found a brilliant natural hide
