neil cooney 10,416
Anyone else miss this programme on the box NO, it was set in the sixties when terrier work was untouched and appreciated. But yet they did a whole episode about "badger baiting" in which lads dug badgers in the middle of the night wearing balaclavas. What a load of crap. Their researchers must have been drunk or high or just couldn't be bothered doing some actual research.

tandors 888
I'm sure i heard on radio that classic british programmes like heartbeat make loads of money abroad as countries like finland and china buy the rights as they like the british heritage side of things. Lol Just laughing at your 'real life' comment mate, Big Brother ain't exactly a David Attenborough type program based on the normal, day day lives and habits of humans going about their business! Their researchers must have been drunk or high or just couldn't be bothered doing some actual research. Spot on Neil, Heartbeat was used, as is/was many others as a vehicle to spread Anti propaganda, all cloaked behind the local village and its charming residents, with it's local 'rascal' poacher playing the staring role. Same as that nicey nice Forever Green in the late 80's, all set in an idyllic countryside, Anti propaganda again. Even Emmerdale, back in the day had Seth the loveable old gamekeeper, besieged by poachers, coursers, diggers and the way it portrayed him you'd think the old fart, as a keeper, had never killed anything in his life.... This type of drivel paints a false picture of a rural life and it's set up so gullible people 'buy in' and by the sounds of it, half you feckers have too..!
