sharpshooter25 7
Hi guys after some help please. Looking at a friends rapid for him as it inconsistent and when left for a while even though there is air in the bottle the hammer strikes but no air leaves the barrel as if the bottle is empty. Remove the bottle and refit then it will work again ? I am guessing the regulator is knackered, can it be repaired or will I need to get a replacement ? This rifle has only just come back as well from a free annual service from the Airgun Center but due to the poor service he has received it won't be going back there. Any help received will be appreciated thank. Quote Link to post
donnyc 1,203
Fill it again and try it ..If the regs fecked just put a bit of spit onthe tiny hole in the reg body ..Make sure you are tightening the bottle down enough Quote Link to post
sharpshooter25 7
Bottle is tight mate, what does the spit do ? Can the regs be rebuilt ? Quote Link to post

MickC 1,825
Have a look on Rapid7ownersclub , plenty of advice on there and KevG a member on there rebuilds and modifys regs, had a few done by him and there spot on . hth ps If you put a bit spit on the hole in the reg and it bubbles one of the orings inside the reg is perished and needs replacing . iirc Edited September 24, 2014 by MickC Quote Link to post
