Lamping Lurchers

i if you had to keep just one lurcher for alround lamping dog how many of you would keep the beblington x greyhound first cross

a mate had a good one few years back about 24 tts mustard on rabbits and do fox regular single handed when you get a good un they as good has anything else dogs for jobs thou mate

depends mate on what your hunting,nothing wrong with beddy cross,if your strictly a rabbit man,seen some good ones and some shite ones.alot depends on who has them in my opinion

they arent just a out and out rabbit dog some do make decent alrounders ;)

 

same could be said for alot of half crosses mate,but there good and bad in most half crosses as well,

Most are very game, but not dog aggressive and there's nothing they won't go through, over or under in there pursuit of game.

 

But a lot of owners (not all) eather become a vets best customer, or you become a dab hand at stitching. lol

 

A dog not for the faint hearted.

I doubt I'd buy a 1/2 cross of breeding.

I'd rather buy one that's been bred for a few generations and utilize all that hard work that's been put in by someone,

Just makes more sense to me ,

 

and before someone says it's not the breeding it's the owner,I'd rather have the odds in my favour and at least start with a well bred pup where a bit of thought has gone into it ,than a retired greyhound to another pure bred they just happen to have.
