speedlamper 0
ipods are nothing special, they dont do much more a bog standard mp3 player will do for a third of the price and they are prone to break, you can play it through your car sterero either using an ipod to car aux cable if your car has an aux-in socket or you can use ipod to cassete cable which works using the car cassete player the same way portable cd players used when they first came out ipod to aux cable ipod to cassete ebay probably isnt the best place to buy the ipod for guarrentee reasons, try dixons on the price promise Edited October 21, 2007 by speedlamper
Malt 379
You can get a fm transmitter to fit on one, but i'm not sure on the price or where to get one. What you do is plug it in to your i-pod, then tune your stereo in to the right frequency. The great thing about this, is that you can tune in any fm stereo, in your house, at work, whatever. I would agree with speedlamper though, i-pods are very over-rated. For the price of one of them you could get a whole lot more of an mp3 player, so look around. borderboy 80
the transmitters are pretty good... .... unless you've got a new motor or radio it may not have an aux in... if it has thats the best way to do it...
Brummy 9
Get it from here mate : Apple Store
speedlamper 0
an mp3 is simply a single music track in a certain format that plays either on an mp3 player or pc, an average track is around 5megabytes an full cd album is around 70mb so a 1gigabyte ipod will hold roughly 12-15 cd albums, all you do is transfer the music from your computer onto the ipod through a data cable and you can change the music as often as you like
mad al 146
JD, iPods are the biggest con there is, as already stated there are so many better value for money MP3s out there. We've two iPods and have to say that we have never had a problem with them at all. There is a hell of a lot of "music" stuff within the family. I use an early 40gb one with the stuff I do playing drums. The downside I have found is the library that iTunes holds will virtually grind my PC to a halt , so I find Windows Media just as good if not better once both programmes have sorted their differences out . The advice the other guys are giving is 100% the road to go down and you will save yourself some cash as well. Al
smallmouth 1
The FM transmitters that enable you to play an MP3 through your radio are OK, but make sure you get one with the biggest range possible, as FM is getting mighty crowded. Mine runs from 88.1 - 107.9, so I've stopped using it, as depending where I'm driving I keep getting bursts of Radio Al Queda or Bangla Bazaar FM overriding my signal. I'm using a cheap MP3 to auxillary socket cable at the moment and this worked great at first, but now the aux socket connection is getting a bit loose, might have to try a better one. Or you could always buy a brand new car with an MP3 slot?
borderboy 80
iPods rule I just treated myself to a new iPod touch, its brilliant infact its what I'm using to put this message on...they are abut pricey because apple produce the new technology which is then copied by other manufacturers... Missie 1
I bought the new iPod nano when I was obviously feeling hormanal had had to blow some money or something but fingers crossed i've had no problems with it so far. The iTunes software can be a bit slow I found but its been fine for what I use it for.
kurgan 5
Best thing to get is anapod its like itunes google for it ,you dont have to keep the music on your computer and can just take songs off when you want ,Tesco and sainsburys sell a transmitter for about 3 quid and if you have the video version download this and get all the ipod games for free http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3767457/iPod_V...BMaga%5DZine.If your really bored get ipod wizard and change all the icons on your ipod and put your name across the top.
