Saluki Greyhound X Bull Greyhound

Recommended Posts

Yeah i woud like a courseing bred saluki grey over a 3/8 bull 5/8 greyhpund or something close to that hopeing it to still have stamina and good feet with a litte bit stronger head.i wonder if most of them would still run clever like a saluki x or just flat out 1gear type i would prefer the clever sauki style how do peope find they run like any pics

I have a second gen saluki grey x bull grey, coming up to eight months now. Still a bit immature yet but got good feet and head. He's a good strong pup, about 25tts now and looks like he's still got plenty of growing in him. Got high hopes for this pup when he's ready!

To be fair ,I don't think it s that simple as,coursing dogs have different styles ,then adding some bull into the mix, will change that,so it will an individual thing regarding running style,

Also the quality and qualities of the parents will come into play.

Just hope to get one off top notch parents, where both do the job their cross is bred for, and hope it clicks that's all you can do,or get one of a tightly bred mating that you like if you can find one hopefully taking some guess work out of it...atb Roy

My bitch is bred that way, her sire was a first cross saluki/grey. Dam first cross bull/grey. She is ok, no world beater as an allrounder, i'm pretty sure she'd have done everything back in the good old days though..... :whistling: Her only fault really is she was a hell of a pain to stock train and her stamina soon goes, but then she has thrown very much to her mothers side so she is built fairly robust.... 25" and 26kgs. I've used her for beating/dogging in when i was a keeper, ferreting, bushing, coming out with the terriers, out with hounds, lamping allsorts. I'd defo consider a similar bred pup in the future.
