RemyBolt 420
Domed for accuracy. Personally I love the sound of the Bisley Pest Control (.22) when shooting shorter distances (the accuracy is not overly effected by different pellet shapes at closer ranges). It's not that they're more effective at dispatching, but I love the sound it makes when it hits a rat's skull. For me, it's the same satisfying *thud* sound, but louder. I'm not sure if that's just a placebo thing though. But for general shooting, domes. I love the Accu-Pell, but am getting great results from RWS at the moment. For my .177 the RWS are getting another 4-5 yards on the same zero against the Accu-Pell. But when ratting (I rat with a .22), if limited to a single type of pellet I'd go with the .22 Accu-Pell because I shoot in the dark and they're much tougher pellets. So if you're likely to slightly mis-shape a pellet when jamming it into your gun, a tougher pellet would be best. Edited September 23, 2014 by RemyBolt Quote Link to post
jw74 27
I found that with .177 (precharged)jsbs tended to over penetrate.so I changed to hw magnums at 10.4 grns they grouped very well, and really hit the rabbits hard! Quote Link to post
RedRob 1
Just to repeat what has already been said, what ever is the most accurate in your gun. Quote Link to post
