Well. I didn't vote for independence, but I did vote for SNP in the past, sounds strange I know but I think a lot of people in Scotland would have opted for a third option if it was on the ballot pape

Salmond is like every other politician "in power"......an egotistical prat who put his own dream of glory before the true interests of his country. Nothing more, nothing less !!

Well said mate...Also I won £10 with the bookies but I had to put 50 on to get it as the odds were 5 to 1 on. It will probably be the last time I get a tenner out of a jock so well done Scotland and

Grant mate you had some cracking posts there but yer banging yer heed against a brick wall. People see what the want to see, read what they want to read and listen to what they want to hear. We will see what happens in the near future.

Just like you mate.. you not considered that you maybe had all that work come through on the fencing in recent years because of the strength of the UK economy recovering after one of the worst GLOBAL financial meltdowns the world has ever seen? Many Scotland sized countries are still struggling. These are the important things mate, how much is it going to cost to run a car, how much am I going to have to pay to have a pint etc. The global markets WILL crash again at some point in our lifetimes and the bigger and more powerful your economy the better placed you'll be to recover from it.
If we live in such a big powerful country mate then why is there homeless on the street, why are they food banks, why don't we have the finest medical care the world can buy, why is our minimum wage shite, why are so many on benefits, why can't people get a mortgage etc etc.

I thought we had a chance to change that.....now you may say to me where's yer proof and I may not have concrete facts....how could I in the world of politics???

Same could be said for countries far, far richer than ours mate and they still have issues like people living in abject poverty. You say the minimum wage is shit but me and my wife both work for around minimum and we manage to run two cars, pay the bills and feed three kids on it..
So you wouldn't like more mate??
If I did it would be up to me to do something about it mate, not the government. I do enough hours in a week to make the job pay a half decent wage at the minute, if that changes I'll get something else. Despite what people say there are jobs out there.

So much for accepting the outcome whichever way it went, jobs done, accept it and move on.

Heard someone on the radio (and on here) saying the pensioners bottled it and cost the country independence and that obviously they won't be here forever and next time around independence would be more likely.

I'd argue next time around the niave haven't experienced life teenagers will have wised up and there views may well have changed.

Of the two groups pensioners or 16 to 18 year olds I know who I would listen to.

I'd also add, it was a calculated move on Salmonds part to give teenagers the vote in the hope of swinging it.

I'm actually surprised he didn't do a deal and have Braveheart on the telly the night before the vote.

Name me one country that doesn't have those problems.

Funnily enough most of the other opinion polls showed that under 18's were among the strongest supporters of the Union. Maybe the older generation voted no because they're wiser and have a lifetime of experience behind them?

Ok answer this......without the oaps it would have been a landslide. The 20's - 60's funnily enough voted for Independence. So what we are saying here is the youngsters, the mums and the dads all voted for there children's futures and the grandparents said 'f**k ye!!".

BY the looks off it ,,if England wants to keep Scotland ,looks like its going to cost them,,,just keep throwing that extra money up here , my English cosins ,,you were played by the jocks ,,hahaha

Haha fair play mate I know you said it in jest and a few will take it the wrong way but it made me laugh, trouble is tho they are playing us mate its the other way about, if we had nothing to offer they'd be begging us to leave not stay, they are getting more than they give.
i was flicking threw euro news channels before results were called and they were saying no vote would win

they didnt want us to go..they must have also put presure on westminster

if they dont deliver on the promises they made in last hour we could call another referedum without their premission ..so iam hearing...for some reason i dont think plls will be waiting 20year for another..if plls want to have another try ..time will tell

one things for sure it going to be a headach for westminster as now they will not want to upset the applecart

If Westminster think that another vote is on the cards sooner rather than later and they reckon it will be "YES" they will make sure everything is sewn up right to benefit those who want to still be part of the union and tell you lot who keep moaning to sling your hook !

Move to the outer f***ing Hebrides or something and vote amongst yourself, there will be plenty of proud Scotmen left who are proud just to be Scotsmen, not just because they think being independent will give them a bigger helping at the trough !!

And I think that winds that up nicely. "We will f**k you over before you start again".

Well done Wilf...??
