Sparrowhawk - In Moult?

Snapped this one sat on the back fence. I know they're almost as common as crows now but they weren't when I was a lad, they were a rare site so I still get a buzz from seeing them in the garden, especially on a kill.

Curious about the white patches on it's back. Anyone know, is this a young bird or maybe a moulting bird?

Its a young spar pal they would have completed there molt by now you can tell by the shade of the eye it will go a deeper colour as the bird gets older cracking pic

Thanks for that Maaccy. Did think it was maybe a young bird..., it had a pretty vacant adolescent look about it, and wasn't bothered at all by me hanging out the window taking the photo.
