Three More For The Scorpion T10

I must say the scorpion t10 in 177 is totally got me hooked on 177 after shooting 22 all these years its knocked me for six we got to the farm for about 6ish and set about setting the scopes up i opted for bis mags that Matt had given to me to try only took a few clicks and she was on.

 

now then Tomas scopes that i had fitted for him that's another story ,i could not for the life of me get them to zero in left to right was fine but elevation would not go any higher it was at its max so i set about shimming them and just the same so i put more in and with the same results now when i delt the pro sport away for the scorpion i took them off the rifle and i was hitting every thing at the range when fitted to the pro sport so i new they were ok and i put them away in a safe place so i new they were ok and would not be touched or fall .

 

I could see Toma was getting down about it so i sent him to the car to get my raider and i set about putting the center points 3,9,40 scopes off mine onto his but before i did i had a few shots at the target and put the pellets in the same hole at 30 mtrs so i changed them over and

it took age,s to scope his in what the feck is going on with your rifle we checked the air and it had loads in by now i was zeroing in, in the dark we put the white light down next to the target and set about getting them sorted .

 

There were that many holes in the target that i could not see where the pellets were going so i switched to my target and with the same results peppered with holes i was getting fecked of and stress,d i then went to with in 15 mtrs and hit the target so i set them up spot on but the went back to 30 mtrs and way off again as is to be expected but i did get there in the end and it was spot on but i did have to stop and have a fag or to to de,stress .

 

It took 4 hours to get his rifle sorted ,we then went back to the car for some thing to eat and drink and had a chat about the scoping in of his rifle and the scopes he was using jsb exacts 15,89 now these are a good pellet but i say,d just because my raider loves them it may not be the same for his raider and it could be some thing as simple as that .

 

We then had a walk down to the play park and i looked over the fence into the field where one nice rabbit that must of heard us coming was hunkering down with its head turned away from us but i took a kneeling shot through the fence with the cross hairs on the base of its head and let one go it just rolled over 1 in the bag finely some thing was going right.

 

We then headed to the paddocks where i told Toma to go and have a look around the back

i saw him standing for what seemed an age with his lamp on and walking side ways left to right and ducking down then up then i heard a shot go off and he walked out of site so i went for a wander to .

 

i lamped the hedge line and lit up a red eye to little to be a sheep as when you lamp this field some times you see the sheep's eyes through the hedge but i new this was a rabbit it then ran into the other field and i lit it up again so over the gate i went and got to with in range again and sent the bis mag on its way and it just rolled over a gain wow these 177,s is all i can say the pellet go,s where you want it to go spot on again well happy i then headed back to the car to wait on Toma.

 

on the way back to the car i came across another one this time it was about 40 mtrs away and nice short grass to so i went prone lined the shot up but it ran for cover so i lay there

and after 2 or 3 mins it came back out but this time it did not get the chance to run and it was in the bag to.

 

Toma blanked and i got three but i think after the zeroing trouble tomas head was not in it may be next time bud .

 

So three more for the scorpion t10

Im biased because i love a .177 and if your lucky to get a pellet that suits the gun perfect, which you obviously have done then apart from the odd flyer which we all get from time to time they are well on the money every time.

I had the scope zeroing issue yesterday with the airsporter turned out to be I'd left the seating down pin still down on the one pice mounts and there no seating holes on mine so wasnt mounted up right had the same issue with falcon took scope off put on again and was bang on mounts are tempremental buggers sometimes but the joys eh great fun in pitch black messing trying to rush fix a fault lol been there a million times

Anyway again nice shooting and nice write up :)

I think there fecked Matty but i don't no how, i fitted them to my raider and much the same even at ten yards i think ill just bin them but its got me baffled, on the springer they worked fine then once fitted to the pcp ,fecked,and this a rifle with no recoil mounts are high mounts and the seating pin is out all together :hmm: :hmm: :hmm:

 

Ill fit them to the 97k and see what there like on that could it be that iv got the wrong mounts on it

Around 180 the sweet spot so i just fill her to that .

 

The raider,s sweet spot is around 190 so i just fill her to that.

It will be the week end before im out again as im working all this week gutted but on the bright side i think im at daz,s place on Saturday looking forward to it not been for a while hope your gauge tunes up soon bud atvbmac
