johnrthrfrd 223 Posted September 13, 2014 Report Share Posted September 13, 2014 just got back in from haveing a mooch with the dogs 2 beddys and a lurcher the lurcher is a smooth coated collie x and have no bother with her but just spent nearly 2 hours getting them little round seeds about 2 to 3 mill. in dia. out of the 2 beddys coats do you lads with the rough coated dogs have the same bother was thinking about getting a rough coated dog so was just wondering thanks. slip lead 862 Posted September 13, 2014 Report Share Posted September 13, 2014 (edited) Get yourself one of those wire brushes(for dogs), and they come out easier when the coat is wet. I find the bigger sticky balls(the one's Goldies love) the worst, but they also are easily removed in the bath. The one to worry about are the darts, (as we called them as kids) they get stuck in the coat and then, bed themself's into the dogs skin, and it's a vets job to get them removed. Had to take the beddy bitch to vets last year with them dart seeds one got stuck in the corner of her eye and went in behind her eye and one went up her nail into her toe cost a fortune.
