A Invite To Matts

Got a invite to Matts farm to night so me and Toma set off for Matts and we got to the farm for about 8pm set our zero and off we went across the first field Matt lamped the field to our right

where he lit up two sets of eyes he then said we would go to the top of the field we were in and come in behind them as the field they were in has stubble still in it and where they were he said that we would make to much noise trying to get close enough to take a shot .

 

So off we went but as we got to the top of the field i lit up two sets of eyes to my left just as Matt was saying some think but i was in hunting mode and every thing he was saying just went over my head.Two nice hairs just sitting about 50 yards away so i crept up to 30 yards(zero,d distance) and went prone and lined the shot up and let a jsb go in 177 hitting kill zone, Ithen passed it over to Toma and he gutted it his way much faster than i can .

 

We then went into the next field where another was sitting but as i went over to it it ran and stopped then ran and stopped by the time i had finished and let it go i was back where i had started about 70 yards away from the bloody car . I then went back to look for Matt and Toma as i got into the second field i could see there lamps off in the distance about three fields away .

 

So off i went again i saw another set of eyes got up to where it was sitting went prone lined the shot up and the bloody thing ran like a bat out of hell,the game bag i had put the first one in slipped off my back and hit the ground with a thud and that's what startled it this happened another twice on two more that i came across .So off i went to the first field to see if the other one had came back as there were two sets of eyes when i first lit them up.

 

On getting to the field i thought nothing was there as i lamp-ted it so i sat down and made my self a fag stood up lit the fag and then picked up the scorpion and lamp-ted the field again

not more than 25 yards i lit up another why it did not run when i lit the fag i don't no but it was still there i went prone again and hit it i lay there and watched it roll over i lay there for a while looking at it in the long plantation in-case it jumped back up .

 

but as i went to retrieve it i could not find it i searched for over half an hour with white light and still could not find it i no it was dead but there are deep tractor tracks with plantation hiding them and i think it went into one of them but as i was walking away i put the lamp on again and lit the field up to my right just in time to see another jump in to the field and sit again this was about 50 yards away another big hair so i got into hunting mode and got to shooting range and let go another jsb 177 and this was number two in the bag.

 

I then went into another field where Toma flashed his lamp and i flashed mine back ,he came over to me ,have you got eny thing mate i say,d to him he say,d i shood of had five rabbits and missed every one i think my scopes are off ,cant be i say,d to him you have just set them up and they were spot on .

 

I was thinking shud i tell him about the second hair as he was p*ssed off i thought no ill not ill tell him later .

 

YER RIGHT i did not tell him i just got it out of the bag and put it down ,its a nice one that he say,d and then i put the next one down to WHAT TWO he cried F**k off no , no F**king way you Jammie b*****. mind its a big un is-int its massive just then Matt came over and he say,d much the same as Toma and he had blanked to.

 

Now here,s a lesson to be learned , DONT LET YOUR MOTHER INLAW WASH YOUR HUNTING GEAR all you could smell was lavender from 3 hundred yards away he say,d he could not get close enough to the rabbits and they were off .

We then headed back to the car for a cuppa and some thing to eat and Toma reset his scopes and we headed off again but nothing was around we did see a few rabbits off in the distance but as soon as the beam hit them off they went .

 

with that we went back to the car where Matt flashed his lamp to let us no he was all ready there we put our gear away and i skinned the hairs and put them in the car and headed for home .

Ill never wright it off bud but now iv got the scorpion it means you can have a night or day out with the raider on me bud ill arrange a night at the farm for us soon or you can take it to your perm any time you want atvbmac :thumbs:
