All right then ,i believe all of Evolution is pure crap[except micro evolution]i believe we are taught it in schools as a science when it has no place in a science lab as science is what can be observed,with the exception of the above mentioned form of evolution all is fictional .I will give anyone £1000 if you can offer me any hard evidence of any other aspect of the theory eg.chemical,macro,etc.I would offr more but i haven t got it

It could be argued that all the little increments are deformitys Darce, Clint never taught all the orangs to kiss the females in order to try to induce a leg over...they reached that conclusion themselves. The apes and chimps rape...including thier young....the orangs dont....a big step.

Well.....i believe in that we, nature, all evolved through millions of year, adapting to the environment,the most adaptable survive, the weakest and those that became too specialized in a certain sphere died out. Darwin was the daddy....

You can't honestly say that because science isn't advanced enough yet to answer a few questions that the whole of scientific theory is invalid. I could write essays on the contradictions and blatantly bizarre things written in the bible. People who blindly follow others and refuse to open their minds and attempt to fully understand other peoples beliefs are in general not the sort of people i could get along with. I use the word iditiot in replace of ignorant. Muslims blow us up because they think their god wants them too. I was nearly expelled from school because i refused to pray during assembly, there are posters outside every church trying to get more followers. I see people in the streets ranting about god, they bang on my own f*****g door.

You say i perpetrate hate? What about the chapters in the bible saying gays go to hell, non-believers go to hell etc. The racism by people like the KKK when even in the bible it says adam and eve were black. Oh and if we are all descended from only 2 people, isn't that incest? Also punishable by an eternity of hell, and explain why we all look different if we are descended from 2 perfect beings of God. If God is never wrong, why pray and blasphemiously ask him to change his plans?? its all so utterly stupid i wish i hadn't bothered spending so much of my time trying to understand it, how long have you spent reading the works of science?

OK someones took it all a bit personnally ,pity that wasn t the point Iv e spent a long time reading the works of science and obviousely as long as you have reading the bible,which had nothing to do with this thread.

One fella has asked consistently for all to be respectful of his belief and another has thrown the toys out of the pram because he can t get all to believe his.Ratreeper if you know of so many blatantly bizarre things in the bible sell em to the muslim scholars who work to disprove it and the existence of Christ.Sorry if you are in a tantrum over this all but the bible does stand up to scientific ,historical ,prophetic scroutiny i wish it didn t at times then i could live out my immoral thoughts and ways.

The fossil record is a farce,based on the geological record and the geological record is a farce based on the fossil record.

So, the evidence of skeletal archeaology, including cro-magnon man, neanderthals and others, is to your mind not proof enough.

 

But for all that, do you accept that there were dinosaurs?, that the landscape of earth was radically different millions of years ago?

This kind of thing falls under the same classification as the evidence of mans origins.

 

Pip, this thread is a cynical strawman, you dismiss what is inconvienient and call it a "farce". In a few words you rubbish the study of geology and archaeology, and probably anthropology as well.

If you want to tout creationism then fine, knock yourself out. But just be straight out about it, if a belief can't stand on its own merits without having to denigrate another belief, it's weak.

 

The bible does not stand up to all you insist it does, at best its a useful historic record from the new testament on.

And at the end of the day, creationism and all that goes with it, is faith based. Not imperical evidence based, but faith based.

 

And by the way, this forum is open to all members, and its not up to you to decide who posts and what. You set up this farce of a thread so just live with it.

Please answer my question before i continue to give my opinion about yours. If you ask for a reason evolution exists, please give your reason why it doesn't. I have given many reasons to disprove one of the non-science based theroies you believe and so far the only argument you have is 'give proof evolution exists so i can ignore it'. Where is your proof creationism exists as it is important, however inconvenient it is for you to attempt it.

Funny how people with no faith, automatically assume that every christian follows the written word of the Bible, and takes it absolutely literally.....you cant, its full of contradications, as you well know.I,m not going to go down the creationism, versus evolution road, because i,m honest enough to admit i dont have a clue, and neither does anyone else, its just purely opinion.

What i do , is try and live my life according to the teachings of Christ.....love thy neighbour, honour thy mother and father, do unto others, as you would be done by, judge not, charity, and love for ones fellow man.That is Christianity for me personally.Its a good way to live, helping others, instead of taking all the time, and i sleep easier for it.

well JD you seem to be the voice of reason as usual, but our particular species has evolved over many thousands of years with all the subtle diiferences along the way ( latest example is the lightnening and features of African americans)

and before you go on about cross breeding thats part of evolution too!

for those that believe in the divine thats also been subject to evolution, the varying biblical texts written by different persons and all with there own versions of events have all been added to, generally to suit some purpose or another, and have evolved in there content and version of events.

yes Orangs do kiss, foreplay or affection?, i think that it shows the red hair gene is just made for loving!!!

one impotant issue that should be thrown into the discussion is this: we are here but for the blink of an eye, many have trodden our paths before us, they had there own beliefs and ways, egyptians, mayans, aztecs, celts, native americans in the north and the south, pygmy tribes in borneo, and yet all have adapted their beliefs to suit the situations that they find themselves in, one such group in south america burn the dead and then eat the ashes, they like there old and revered to have somewhere warm to sleep, not very sensible to me but i havent been brought up to believe that i need somewhere warm to sleep.
