Carraghs Gem 1,675
Just thought id mention. Whilst in gsd hip problems are well known. to watch out for most common problem i keep hearing about with malinois is skin/allergy problems. And dutch shepherds are considered by many malinois and dutch breeders to be the same breed but with different coat colour
dare 1,103
No doubt will be aload of shit getting bred by people who wanted a malinois as they have abit of hype around em. Think its like any dog though gotta do your homework and find the right breeder for you. Do malinois suffer with hip problems in their old age? Seem real agile dogs, never seen one in the flesh mind you. Also do Alsatians/malinois work ok detecting stuff? I'm sure American police just drive around with them and use em for car searches. Only is a company around my old area which used to have Alsatians but also in the van was a spaniel for detecting work. I'm sure the spaniel is a better dog for the job but things such as drugs an Alsatian should do the job no?

Several years ago there were only a handful of breeders now like GSDs you can pick Malis up for less than £200 off donedeal so plenty of crap about which is a shame. Phil Win 79
The dog in the above clip i stuck up is a CZ german shepherd. I have been talking to some owners of these CZ german shepherds and they are the real deal it seems, the working lines, hip problems are nearly or none existent. A lot of dutch shepherds have heavy doses of malinois blood, and definately a lot of shit bred malinois about now for small money, decent malinois + dutch fetch 750+ but the difference is the parents are proven and titled and prospective owners vetted properly

Phil Win 79
I made a mistake, when i looked into it more, Michael Ellis trains and keeps Belgian malinois, not czhec german shepherds. Here is his web site below. http://loupsdusoleil.com/
