mattwhite 1,993 Posted September 11, 2014 Report Share Posted September 11, 2014 Bit contravertial i know but..... a self certified ballistic geek once explained to me (not that i fully understood) that basically the effect of the muzzle blast of a carbine barrel on the pellet after exiting the barrel should in theory have a significant effect on accuracy......but look how accurate carbines are. I personally dont think that over the ranges we shoot at it makes a significant difference at all. Quote Link to post

A longer barrel can be less accurate due to longer lock time and more wobble from the time the trigger is pulled to the pellet leaving the barrel Quote Link to post
