A lot of people have their own opinions on this mine is that i like the standard barrel as all the guns ive owned have not been carbines - i would like to try one though

That's what I said to her last night

The HW fsb is noisy ,you need another mod on it which makes it even longer

Asked to many times :)

Only a select few can shoot well enough, depending on spring or PCP of course, to tell the difference if there is one.

I really like the carbine kinda set ups. Wouldn't worry about the extra 4-6 inches in length.

I don't know what ballistic quotients and mathmatics apply to air rifle barrel lengths. But I do know that the full length and carbine length barrels of my air rifles, past and present, have all been good and accurate. TX200HC Carbine and the HW97K are both wicked accurate, especially in .177 calibre. Full length HW80 and HW77 .22 is phenominally accurate.

It all comes down to what you like the look of and how comfortable you are with your choices, I think really. In my experience, if you see a nice looking air rifle and its size, weight and length appeals to your instincts in a way that, you feel you could shoot really well with it; chances are, you probably will!

Apologies Carlo, to be honest I have never noticed any difference between the carbine and standard barrels. I have a carbine S10 which is a handy little rifle and is ideal for shooting out of the motor. Certainly no loss of accuracy though.

Lads I shoot with have HW100's through the range and also AA 400's & 410's, plus many others again no noticeable difference.
