your right we know every things faster down there that why we stay up here, our rabbits are slower and easyer to catch, but our dogs are slower to, but we get by.some one told me they had seen one of them new carts the other day the ones with the rubber wheels and lights and he recons it had a motor in it too, ya right thats what newcastle brown does to you

I think old bob (god rest his soul) has unwittingly hit upon a very good point............

While undoubtedly some places in the south are lifting with tackle.....some places on the outskirts of the City are very thin on the ground as far as game is concerned.

In no paticular order, you are faced with a shortage of game, massive light pollution, an abbundance of nosey parkers, some of the most lampshy stuff you will ever see...........

Now.......as you head North the amount of population thins out........you start to get stone walls........you get certain places that are lifting with game and its not as shy as down here............

Now it would be very easy to say that dogs in the North have it easy............I certainly think they have it better, but better and easy are not the same..........

I think a good dog can only become a great dog by running (and catching) a lot of tackle...........and the more it sees the better it gets.

So I would say that without doubt, some of the very best dogs are in the North...............but I also belive that some of the dogs from down here would clean up also if worked in the north..........

The hounds would litterally be like a kid in a sweetshop.................

Ha ha ha......well, there are places up north where theres little save a couple of myxi bunnies. Thats why some lads drive for 3 hours south to get amongst them....... Sure there are patches of game about, but i dont think it can compare to the amount of game i have seen in the southern counties....from what i have seen.... JD
