beddiwhuppet 10 Posted October 19, 2007 Report Share Posted October 19, 2007 (edited) i hav a very keen little dog ,beddi whippet 1st generation cross,hes 3 now, i trainned him to retrieve from an early age which he does no problem,using a dummy with rabbit pelt wrapped round,anything he can lift if i throw it he wil bring it back willingly for me to throw again ,i do it most days to keep him fit,hes caught lots of rabbits mostly lamping, when he catches A RABBIT he wont bring it back he just mouthes it until i walk over and take it from him, if he catches it out of site he will bring it until im in view then he continues to mouth it, anybody got any ideas? maybe iv not tried hard enough? apart from that i cant complain thanks for your help Edited October 20, 2007 by beddiwhuppet Quote Link to post
weejohn 3 Posted October 20, 2007 Report Share Posted October 20, 2007 i thought some one would of replied to this by now beddiwhippet (your username says beddiwhuppet), my pup is the exact same at the moment but i am hoping he will eventually grow out of it so i can run him next season, i look forward to the replies to your post as i havnt a clue why your dog does this.
