woottonsheart 214 Posted September 5, 2014 Report Share Posted September 5, 2014 Aanyone ever had this in terriers I no they aint machines and are a living thing and all that ,but my [BANNED TEXT] has a well seasoned black dog nuttall/wheeler bred typical hard en but not too hard always had good seasons worth of sport with him now about 4 and half year old. went out with him last week marked strong at the earth went in like a rocket as usual . 30 mins came out and didn't wanna enter again obvious signs of him mixing with something .. anyways tried him again this morning and he wouldn't even enter but my young dog did and we had a morning of it .he has never been a dog aggressive terrier but showin signs now of dog aggression .. real shame really but dog as earned his stripes but very wiered the way its finished out but o well its life I suppose gotta hope pup makes the grade Quote Link to post

fat man 4,741 Posted September 6, 2014 Report Share Posted September 6, 2014 Its start of the season,strange things happen,and no one can say what goes on under ground.Did you actually break through to the dog on 1st day out,maybe he killed and came away from his kill or did you try a young dog on that day.This time of year quarry is still on the small side and can fly through tubes,dont be too quick to right of the dog after all he had done 3 seasons without fault so give him the benifit of the doubt and wait a bit try him again,jmho. 5 Quote Link to post

woottonsheart 214 Posted September 6, 2014 Author Report Share Posted September 6, 2014 he came out then I had my young dog with me 15 month old he flew in and we got the dig to a decent sized bit of quarry.. for my terriers first time I was very pleased just hope it hasn't nocked him back .but its onwards and upwards now just gotta keep trying and bring in new stuff and hope to get it working Quote Link to post
