These will test any dog.. :thumbs:

no disrespect mate but water deer are only fast for about 2 hundred yards they arnt the fastest havent run them myself but a good mate off mine runs them regulary and says they are esay ... :thumbs:

we had 15 cwd last seaon snortdog,there not the hardest thing to catch for any lurcher,and hey i got them not my mate :clapper:

Did you get them with the bitch that had,nt been out the kennel for 12months? :whistling:=@

Roe are our fastest british land mammal FACT :notworthy: even faster than the hare so that pisses on alot of lads bonfires :laugh: Now IMO the big deer can shift in top gear but are sluggish off the mark and as for cwd being easy well thats a matter of opinion :whistling:

More often that not if chinkis have been a good bit out in the open and the slips arnt stupid ive caught them , Ive propberbly had more success on them than any other species of deer . I wouldnt say they are that hard , as long as the dog no's when to leave of the gas you will do allright on them .

it looks like a lot of different people have alot of different opinions on this but in my opinion alot of it depends on the age and condition of the deer and the terrain it`s running on, i have seen all the species of deer run and like everything else you get good ones and poor ones but to be honest the majority of the ones that stand out in my memory are mainly roe i`ve seen it loads of times where good first class deer dogs have never even managed to put a bend in on them they`ve made the dogs look silly :haha:

I think you will find in the daytime they are a totally different animal..... :thumbs:

At night they are easy...so im told.....

In the daytime they are very similar to a hare.... :yes:
