workindogz 0
never seen a roe run, theyre on my list a good dog can take anything be it cwd or red nothing can run like a good sighthound, theres a guy who runs a cheetah in hungry on deer that must be so beautiful to watch! I wonder what would pull down a deer first if a cheetah and great deer dog were run together obviously the cat has more speed but how do they compare to turnining like a dog and strikeing? and there confidence on large deer? just a thought Quote Link to post
Lukey. 0
Pretty sure I seen something that said a cheetah can only chase for about a minute or so then it has to stop or it becomes deadly for it due to its body temperature it only ever catches half of the things it chases,.... brock 11
got to agree with luke, why give the hare law if it could out run a dog in a straight line to the nearest cover, coursing greyhounds close a hare down in seconds after its given law Quote Link to post

salukixminshaw 1
those internet lists of the fastest land mamals are a load ofshite if a hare runs at the same speed as a greyhound how the feck can a greyhound give it a hundred yards law and turn it with in 400 yards because a hare dosent start running till a dog on its arse a hare will only run as fast as it being run and a greyhound is faster than a hare Quote Link to post

Guest deerman
i read that fastest recorded british animal was a red stag caught on a police rador gun ,dont ask me speed, and how they recorded it as every deer ive run on to a road has been like bambi on ice, but that was in the book of records, Quote Link to post
Guest joe ox
I once clocked a red doe running along a road at 40 mph, in full stride she just looked left and jumped a 5 foot hedge as if it was nothing Quote Link to post
