I've known someone to use apple juice sprayed inside the trap as an alternative with reasonable success. Given that we're moving into apple season again, if you can lay your hands on some windfalls then you could use them sliced up (jusat make you don't use under-ripe rock-hard sour ones). Finally there's some evidence that rabbit pee from females can attract males at the appropriate time of year, also rabbit pee from elsewhere might attract animals on their own territory. 1 Quote Link to post
