no experience using live traps, picked up one he other day for my permission, hoping to get a few more... these should do the job

whats the best bait to use inside a live trap for catching rabbits?

one last question, these live traps are no risk to sheep eh? before i go mention it to farmer, just want to make sure got all angles covered

Carrot works well, but so can apple. I've known someone to use apple juice sprayed inside the trap as an alternative with reasonable success.

 

Given that we're moving into apple season again, if you can lay your hands on some windfalls then you could use them sliced up (jusat make you don't use under-ripe rock-hard sour ones).

 

Finally there's some evidence that rabbit pee from females can attract males at the appropriate time of year, also rabbit pee from elsewhere might attract animals on their own territory.

ive had not luck with carrots so far, working progress.. just need to get the nack of best place to set
