seen this befoe and yes its heartbreaking but alot of people only have dogs to work if it be race hunt whatever and after it cant do its job they seem to think the dog is not earning its keep and goodbye unfortunatly

cruel b*****ds, when there racing careers are over they should be made to find a permanent home for them to live there days out in peace, after all the dogs have done there best for there owners.

now then kidda, didnt watch that video all the way through thought it was abserlutly disgusting. thoses types of people who traet a dog like that should be treated the same as they treated their dogs or jailed. how any one can do that to a dog is beyon me. feel angry and deeply sickend :sick:

it's a sad fact that there will always be masses of wastage....when it comes to greyhound racing.....

however.....nobody destroys more healthy animals than the RSPCA.....something that a lot of people dont realise......or pretend they did'nt..

THE VIDEO JUST SHOWS WHAT WE ALL KNEW. ITS THE WAY THINGS ARE NOT ONLY WITH GREYHOUNDS BUT EVERY ANIMAL EVEN MORE SO IN THE WILD SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST.

Thank goodness for greyhound rescue,they do their best for retired racers,some are not very old either. There are some grand people in racing,BUT,there are some heartless b*****ds who will get rid of a dog with as much compassion as throwing away holed socks.

The ear tattoos, supposed to help identify them,just cause more suffering when the inhuman owners cut them off.

its a sad world.. what i dont understand is when a lurcher has been an excellent working dog and then when it start slowing towards the end people just get rid dont think i could get rid of a dog that has been so faithful !!!

It was me, that put that link up in the first place.

I love the breed and what it was bred for, i am a supporter of greyhound rescue centers, they do a great job in Ireland. Ireland, is one of the biggest greyhound producers, its come a long way, in the care of the greyhound and its welfare, as well as its racing future.

its not just greyhounds theres plenty of lurchers out there treated the same way ive got a lurcher not much kop at her game but i picked her not the other way round and i will stick with her till shes a old lady having a easy life

And people think us country sports people are cruel to our dog and put us under absurd laws. Question is when are they going to ban dog racing when it generates a nice healthy tax revenue. Perhaps we should pay a Hunting tax and pay the treasury for every rabbit fox we catch and a licence. Laws might change then

yep; same here the great american humane society ethunizes millons of animals that they "saved" every year makes you wonder what the hell twisted logic justifies them. they show a few great success stories to garnish support from the ignorant and stupid to push their agenda which seems they are the only ones able to say for what or how a animal may be used. then the people in the metro areas who have a very limited experience with animals believe them. while the rest of us have to live with protected wolves and grizzles hunting our livestock and pets . i guess things might look regal and majestic untill its your pet or worse that they are threatening or feeding on. i believe in equality if we get them so should the deprived peoples of new york and L.A .share and share a like right. i firmly believe a few hungry wolves in each major city might enlighten the nation.
