New Led Street Lighting.

Recommended Posts

My local authority has started to change our traditional street lighting to led ones. They are terrible, plenty of light directly underneath but as for lighting between posts terrible. If you look out of window it seems as if its frosty out there and struggle to see end of road.obviously crime figures will increase and they'll wounder why.Things they do to save some cash?

Be thankful they aren't them longlife crappy bulbs that take a\ week to warm up & give you what equates candle power  ...I am burning 60 watt normal bulbs all over my house am sick of being brainwashed by them Brussels clowns about how i light my house ... I like to see where i am going & as long as i can get the old type bulbs I will continue to use them ...

They installed them on our street 6 months ago, theyre like sunbeds 30 ft in the air,but as you say, feck all light inbetween, not ideal when we have an old peoples home at the top of the street :icon_eek: The latest scheme is narrowing the main road at a cost of 1.2 million quid,to make it look more "villagey" The councils own words  Theres sod all for the local kids except get pissed/ stoned, and theyre trying to turn it into Dibley  its Salford FFS
