How Do You All Relax Your Dogs After A Good Night Or Day Working

Hello I'm just wondering how you all during your dogs hunting trip how do you bring it out of the stiffening stage ,I like to take blade out for a mini hunt where he not under any pressure to purfom but work to relax his muscles so he doesn't get any strains

give them a mile road walk on the lead good rub down wash feet good feed and bed them down

I like to give mine a nice hot bath ... A big steak dinner ... Let them watch telly for a while with a glass of Chardonnay ... Then let them sleep in my bed for the night whilst I sleep on the floor ...........

He's a house dog so if he's got prickly feet a nice warm bath . He gets a good feed a couple hours rest then back out for a walk at his pace seems to work for him + he loves it looking at his moves and groves when his dreaming

I am just curious does washing their feet really help? I have never done this before or heard of it before. I give my dogs a rubdown after a big night and of course a good feed but I would imagine washing their feet regularly would actually soften them. Please correct me if I am wrong.
