Sweeney 316
Bought a 3 amd 2 leather suite from there in November, I looked up reviews and some mentioned the leather peeling anyhow we really liked this sofa was just what we were looking. I asked the fella in the shop, what's the reviews about your leather suite peeling all about,) he said I did but they have since changed the leather so won't have any problems, (I know he's gonna say anything to make a sale) any how we moved into our House and the sofa was ment to be delivered the next week then they rang and said it'll be postponed for 4 more weeks ! We were sitting on dining room furniture ffs. So it arrived 4 weeks late anyhow now 7 months later...the things peeling we had the sofa people round to look and he said that's terrible and he will reccomend a replacement. They've offered me £450 to keep this shite or 1650 in credit to buy a new one. I paid 1960 including 5 year cover....there taking the piss big time, we looked at the others and there's noting else we want apart from one that's 2500, but that's the nearest to the sofa we have that they got. Don't buy from harveys there wankers !
Blackbriar 8,569
I've worked for a couple of the major furniture retailers over the years - won't mention names, but it's the same story at them all. Tell you anything you need to hear to secure a sale - and yes, I mean up to and including outright lies ! Word of warning - the extended warranties aren't worth the paper they're written on. Don't EVER buy them! The sales force push them for their own benefit. They make large commissions on each one sold. Check if accidental damage is covered on your house insurance !
