morton 5,368
A few independent butchers stocked more adventourous wares at one time, crocodile, emu, kangaroo etc,the supermarkets have an habit of closing them down, emu,s tough and not worth its price,i bred a few and wanted to knack a youngster to sample its youthful flesh, the curator forbid me as it was destined for another zoo,the fecking turkeys that were supposed to be in a breeding and conservation programme fared far worse than their Australian cousins, luvverly. deanflute 550
Very tasty cut of meat that's best fried with rock-salt & rosemary served up Medium-Rare with a light salad garnish and olive oil dressing and squeezed lemon. Yum yum Christ! I read that in the voice of Hannibal Lector

I done curried goat a while back. Got the goat from a farm shop up the road. They guy had no goat meat, only kid meat and was near in tears when I told him what I had planned for the meat. He told me I was wasting it and wanted adult goat (which is what I wanted) but didnt have any fresh. I didnt go much on it to be honest.
jeemes 4,498
I tried to buy horse meat from a market in southern france, but i was always too late and it had sold out. It looked like venison from where i saw it,lovely deep colour and no visible fat. Only trouble is i dont really like venison. I would still love to try some though..
