Monday Is D-Day

Recommended Posts

I was at work this morning and bumped into the farm manager from a estate we graze and he was haveing a moan about rabbit damage to crops so after a quick call to the keeper to check he was happy I am set to have a go on Monday. So have found the nets out from the shed put new batteries in the locators and carn,t weight to go and get started even if it is a bit soon. Just wondering if anyone else around this way is starting up soon ( I,m in Oxfordshire ) .

Happy hunting hope you all have a enjoyable season cheers Tom

Hello jb I went out with the lamp last week and you couldn't tell we had been on that ground with the ferrets so still plenty to go at. The cover is still up at the moment but I,m just going to run a long net up ether side of the hedge and let the dog do its job. Will get a day sorted in next few weeks as got a new bit of ground for you and Jesus to go at. Hope you're well Tom

Well ended up with 21 and was back home for 2 so not a bad start. The cover was still thick but not to bad and the new stop nets I got for this season were a real help and made it a lot easier than getting stung to hell setting purse nets in the hedge

Hey northern lad I got the same nets from bridport nets but made the basket out of an old round up drum. I also put a few more post in the nets, but I have cut them down as I find them easier to get through the hedges. All I did today was run the long nets along side the hedge and put the stop nets through and to be honest I only killed 2 in the long net all day and the rest in the short nets
