Bsa Ultra

Recommended Posts

Well we have been out in the wood on one of my perms that's on a steep slope to get out of this bloody wind, the mag took some getting used to and was jamming a lot, the technique to stop this was to cock the rifle pointing it at the floor, I saw si pitaways tip of rocking it each pellet that helped but didn't cure it, the accuracy .... Not great, until we got 100 odd pellets in, filled to 180 bar shooting down to about 110 it was bloody deadly, personally I think my 410 is better and although there wasn't much in the group sizes the 410 were tighter at our 40 yard target point, maybe its because I'm used to it and its bedded in or maybe its just because its the best rifle ever made lol, after a 3 or 4 hour plinking session with my improvised hft range in the woods we (yes I did take the wife) went mooching, I had the advantage of k owing the ground as its where I spent a lot of my childhood I bagged 3 rabbits with the s410 and unfortunately missed one with the ultra, we're of for a full day tomorow lamping first thing then decoying on the stubble so hopefully a good day is in store, and I dont think I mentioned that ultra wearing the walnut stock is one sexy tool, atb

.177 both guns are,

Urggh no offence but why???

It's got to have one of the worst cocking systems in the PCP market! :bad::bad::bad:

Each to their own I guess!:tongue2:

Apart from the spring load mag its a straight forward "pull back and let go" system....not the silly button on the front and pellet probe on the back, what makes it so bad I'm confused?

So it's the Ultra SE then and not the bag of shite Ultra MMC.

Correct, using aa field 8.4 I loves them

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't all the Ultras and Scopians have the same barrels?

AA Fields are what I call my test against Pellets!

Start with them and see if anything is better for that rifle.

Although both of my BSA SuperTen Mk III's which are separately chambered in .177 & .22 both have a massive bias for H & N Field Target Trophys.
