f***ing Barbed Wire Just Ruined My Night

Recommended Posts

Anyone else have this problem ? Just about to leave mates house an dogs waiting to get in car an all of a sudden heard mine yelping, shone the lamp round to see my dog down the field trying to pull away from something with his back leg stuck straight out behind him, when I got over to him he was warped in barbed wire but it had actually some how 2 barbs had gone through his back leg so dog yelping with me holding dog while my mate trying to carefully pull the wire back through his leg, stopped the bleeding eventually but I hope it hasn't damaged any ligiements or muscle, I was gutted to say the least , if I had gone the pub like I was going to none of this would of happened lol o well hopefully he will be fine, but it just shows how easy it can be done when cows drag barbed wire out in to field b*****d things

I had same problem a couple of week back, my bitch jumped a fence and was literally hanging from the fence. When I got her off it had opened her stomach right up. Put an early end to my night aswell!

Anyway, cleaned it and stapled her up and my vet swears by manuka honey so I gave it a try, rubbing it on it a few times a day. Healed miles better than expected! Not 100% whether that's down to the honey but I'd definitely use it again and she's fine now.

Might be worth a try?

The wire can be a leveller at times, few people get to work their mutts unscathed from the attention of it.Jabbing dogs each and every time they get a nick is false security, its rarely needed when a quick wash with an appropriate agent, saltwater etc.,that will benefit the mutt more, especially when the time arrives that the dog genuinely needs Antibiotics.
